A nationally well known ceramicists whose work compliments both the traditional house and the contemporary living space.

.Frank Hamer brings a delightful collection of plates to Bridge Gallery with prices from £48.

'The plates incorporate ceramics with my interests in drawing and decoration. They should be read on four levels: as plates; as overall decorative objects; as specific imagery and, very importantly to me, as ceramic happenings. I like to see the thickness of glaze as it flows over the channels of sgraffito work, as it enlivens the coloured slips and fuses with the various added areas of pigment.'

Christine Gittins - Artist Statement

The shapes I love to make most are round, like the traditional clay containers made in the rural parts of Africa. I use a various low-firing techniques. The random effects of smoke on the burnished clay surface softens the precise shapes of my pots. The excitement and unpredictability of these type of firings satisfies my sense of the unexpected.

Liz Lawrence exhibits a small collection of porcelain light pots which are hand built using paper clay. The patterns are achieved by a unique press mould technique. When high fired the porcelain clay becomes translucent, allowing light to pass through the wall of the pot creating patterns to add a unique charm to any romantic setting.

The spring has also bought a beautiful new exhibition in porcelain by ceramicist Julie Turner .

Comprising of a delightful collection of Tea sets, coffee sets, jugs and spoons which are all available with serving platters or as individually items

Priced from £3.00 for spoons
